Membership & Fees
2008 Membership
- The membership of this organization shall consist of Ohio-based, 18+-age baseball leagues with a minimum of 6 teams. (Ohio-based is defined as registered as an Ohio non-profit organization, an Ohio corporation, or having an Ohio address with documentation that the majority of its membership are residents of the State of Ohio.)
- 18+ defined for the purpose of any state playoffs: Baseball leagues, the age of whose players is 18 and over. Sixteen (16) or seventeen (17)-year-old players would be eligible provided they have completed their high school eligibility or have a signed letter of permission from the player’s parents.
- Baseball leagues of fewer than 6 teams that do not meet the ‘Ohio-based’ criteria and individual teams with no league affiliation may petition the Buckeye Baseball 18+ Executive Committee for a waiver for membership.
- Membership status may be revoked by a two-thirds majority of the Executive Committee. Any franchise whose membership is in jeopardy shall be notified, in writing, by the Commissioner of the charges against them and be given the opportunity to respond to the charges at an Executive Committee meeting.
2008 Fee structure
Buckeye Baseball 18+ will be a fee driven organization, with fees for membership and for the State Championship event.
2008 fees are:
Membership:
- $25 per team in a league, with an annual minimum of $150. Membership dues deadline is June 1.
- Complete leagues must join; partial league memberships are not available.
- Membership dues are non-refundable
- Individual teams may petition for membership if their league is not joining, and if approved by the Executive Committee, will pay a $150 membership fee.
2008 Championship Playoffs
- $400 per team, guarantee is 3 games …
- All teams winning at least 2 of their first 3 games are guaranteed a 4th game and entry into the single-elimination championship round.
- Deadline for state tournament fees is August 1. This fee will be set by the Executive Committee on an annual basis.
- Tournament fees are non-refundable August 1.
