Executive Committee
The Executive Committee of Buckeye
Baseball 18+ will include 9 members, selected at-large; through 2008
members must be approved by a majority vote of the existing Executive
Committee members.

Executive
Committee Guidelines
Beginning
2009, Executive Committee members will be selected by Board of
Directors with an annual turnover of 3 members (6 members would
rollover).
Five
members of the Executive Committee must be members of one of the
founding leagues (Cincinnati Recreation Commission, Cincinnati Roy
Hobbs Baseball, Central Ohio Men’s Adult Baseball, Greater Akron
AA Baseball & Northeast Ohio Roy Hobbs Baseball).

Committee members must be members in good standing of member
leagues, or …. Executive Committee members may be individuals not
associated with one specific league but must have 18+ baseball
connections, be recommended by a member league, be vetted by the
Executive Committee, receive that body’s recommendation and be
elected by a two-thirds majority of a Board of Directors quorum in
conjunction with the annual Executive Committee elections.
Executive
Committee terms: Executive Committee members are limited to 5
consecutive years on the Executive Committee. Terms run January to
January, positions effective with the first meeting of the calendar
year.
Executive
Committee Officers: Executive Committee will select a chair, two
vice-chairs (Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners) and a secretary
annually at its first quarter meeting, and will establish committees
as needed and respective committee chairs.
Executive
Committee Duties: Executive Committee will be the final authority
in all Buckeye Baseball 18+ issues in 2006. Beyond 2006, Executive
Committee will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of
Buckeye Baseball 18+ and take direction from the Board of Directors
with regard to rules, guidelines and operation of the annual state
tournament. Executive Committee will be the final authority in all
operational matters. Executive Committee may over-ride voted
recommendations of the Board of Directors with a unanimous vote of a
quorum present at a scheduled quarterly meeting.
Executive
Committee Meetings: Executive Committee shall have a minimum of 4
meetings a year; at least 2 must be face-to-face with the remainder
by conference call, if necessary. Executive Committee will meet
once a quarter.
Board
of Directors
The
Board of Directors will include a representative of each member
league with at least 6 teams. Leagues of fewer than six teams but
granted membership may have a non-voting representative.

Board
of Directors Guidelines
Board
of Directors will begin operation in winter 2006 and have standing
for advising the operation of Buckeye Baseball 18+ in 2007.
Board
of Directors Terms: Terms are annual & run from June 1 to June
1.
Board
of Directors meetings: Board of Directors shall have a minimum of 2
meetings a year, one in winter quarter and one in summer quarter.
Meetings must be face-to-face. Executive Committee Chair will be
the presiding officer of Board of Directors meetings.
Board
of Directors Duties: Board of Directors shall be responsible for
recommendations on membership guidelines, playing rules in the state
tournament, site selection for state and regional events, and for
the selection of the Executive Committee starting in 2009; other
duties as directed by the Executive Committee.
As
of 2009, Board of Directors will select at-large Executive Committee
members by election. Permanent members will be selected by the
respective founding leagues. Board of Directors will select 6
returning members (subject to 5-year rule) and 3 new members from
nominations from members of the Board of Directors at the winter
quarter meeting, with the election effective at the First Quarter
Executive Committee meeting the following year.
